KITEBOARDING LESSONS

West Oz Kiteboarding is your first choice for quality Kiteboarding instruction. Instructors are qualified through IKO and have extensive windsurfing, wakeboarding and kitesurfing experience. All of our lessons are personal with a maximum of 2 students per instructor (excluding Have a Taste which is a group session).

Kitesurfing lessons are held at Shoalwater approx 35 minutes south of Perth WA (for directions see location).

West Oz prides itself in creating a safe and rewarding learning experience. Our goal is to see students become competent kiteboarders and quickly and as safely as possible. We have a range of lessons available, ranging from a kiteboarding taster to advanced lessons.

Zero to Hero Course (12 hrs) - $900pp

What separates us from other schools?

Experience - Only fully qualified IKO Kitesurfing Instructors, with a minimum of 3-4 years experience. There are currently some so called instructors who have only been kiting for a few months themselves, our instructors are well experienced, so you can learn with confidence. Our head instructor has 7 years experience with kiteboarding as well as 12 years windsurfing and 10 years wakeboarding. Both sports which have a big bearing on teaching methods.

Safety - West Oz Kiteboardng has a rescue boat on hand and our instructors are first aid trained, plus we use headzone communication equipment (including helmets and audio system to stay in constant contact with you). Also our choice of location for teaching is one of the safest and most beautiful beaches in Australia.

Equipment - West Oz uses only the latest 2009 model 4 line inflatable kites and twin tip kiteboards.

Course content - Our lessons provide you with all the necessary skills to get you out on the water. You wil come away with the knowledge and skills to select safe riding locations, read wind conditions and safely self land kites.
