Ultimate Kiteboarding Course
Our most popular course to give you a full taste of the kite and board! This is run over 2 or 3 days depending if you want 2 or 3 hour sessions.
Day 1
Learn the basics of setup, safety, launching/landing, water recovery and flying a trainer kite before we set you up with a 4 line inflatable kite and get you in the water bodydragging with the kite. Max 2 students on your first day as there is a lot of theory involved, before we move onto private tuition once you are in the water.
Day 2
Refresh over the basics you learnt in your first session and once comfortable bodydragging upwind you will be introduced to the board. This lesson is private one on one instruction with our helmet communication so the instructor is in constant contact with you whilst in the water.
6 hours (duration 2-3 days) $500 Per Person
West Oz Kiteboarding is the only IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) school in Perth and we have been running lessons at Safety Bay / Shoalwater for 12 years now! We use Headzone Communication Helmets to speed up your learning process so your Instructor is in constant contact with you PLUS you are learning at the best location to kiteboard (others will claim this but with our cross shore breeze, sheltered waters between the islands and mainland and safe waters surrounded by sandbars and no swimmers/boats/obstacles this really is the best location in the world).
