Stand Up Paddleboarding

Stand Up Paddle Surfing (SUP) is a relatively new sport but its roots trace back to the 60's and further still to pre-colonised Polynesia. The sport in its modern form was re-discovered in 2002 by a group of Hawaiian big wave riders. These pioneers of SUP were taken with the sport as a great way to gain extra fitness, increase leg strength and core stability while catching extra waves.

The most interesting aspect of Stand Up Paddle Boarding is its adaptable nature. While much of the media show the sport being enjoyed on the coast SUP's are a superb platform for exploring any stretch of water. Coastal or Inland Stand Up Paddle Surfing is a fun sport for all the family and a great way to stay in shape.
